The Metacrisis
Other than a few people living in bubbles, most of society is becoming increasingly aware that we are living in potentially perilous times. Things are changing faster than we can control and all of civilization seems to be accelerating toward a very uncertain and dangerous future.
Problems like wealth inequality, exploitation of the working class, war and violence, climate change, political corruption, energy blindness, a broken healthcare system, societal alienation, and a host of other cascading catastrophes that have been collectively referred to as the ‘metacrisis’ threaten the very existence of our species.
Many people these days have the sense that something is going terribly wrong with our civilization as we rush headlong into a maelstrom. We careen wildly from left to right, descending into a vicious cycle with seemingly no one in control except those with the will and the resources to exploit the situation for their own advantage.
Unfortunately, it seems like many people are either satisfied with or resigned to the situation, depending on their individual circumstances. But very few are offering solutions that can actually affect the level of changes required to right this ship.
Yes, there are some very intelligent people exploring the problem space and discussing ways to approach the Infinitely complex challenge of unwinding a digitally and biologically integrated global civilization that has been developing, generation upon generation, layer upon layer, for millennia.
So far there seems to be a lack of practical projects or plans put forward. On podcasts and forums, when the moderator inevitably asks the thought leader what we can actually do right now to move society in a positive direction, the response is either vague or downright admitting they aren’t sure what the answer is or where it will come from.
ISITAS can be a key part of the solution to the Metacrisis.
ISITAS is intended and designed to act as a catalyst to trigger a metamorphosis into a new form of socioeconomic system based on Awareness, Ingenuity, and Kindness, and powered by AI, blockchain, crypto, and other Web 3 technologies.
The key to solving the metacrisis is achieving 100% reliable alignment between Humanity and AGI — not just in terms of high-level morals and ethics, but at all levels of abstraction and derivation. ISITAS is a tool that provides a framework or ontology upon which not only all reasonable people can agree, but on which AI can agree as well.
With the greatest minds of Humanity working together with AI, solutions to all of the problems we face are within our reach. Once we harness the power of AI, we can begin to address the various challenges we face with strategic and tactical power and precision.
Meanwhile, the ISITAS Project will trigger a socioeconomic transformation from the late-stage capitalist model to a new model based on sustainable abundance, consensus, and positive values.
This progressive approach will reduce the pressure being applied by modern Human civilization and naturally result in resolutions to many of the driving forces behind the various issues of the metacrisis.
The transformation will not be painless or without challenges. For something new to be created, something old must be disrupted. Some of that turmoil will cause us distress.
But the utopia on the other side of the transformation will be worth the effort.
