Network State

A ‘network state’ is a concept popularized by Balaji Srinivasan in his book The Network State.

It is a novel socio-political entity formed by a decentralized group of individuals connected through digital networks. It transcends traditional geographical boundaries, leveraging technology to foster a shared identity, governance, and economy, often prioritizing digital collaboration and collective decision-making over conventional centralized authority structures.

In other words, anyone, anywhere in the world can be a member of a given network state. What they have in common with their fellow citizens is a common interest and willingness to abide by the laws of the virtual state.

This is exactly how ISITAS is intended to function. The ISITAS community will be a diverse, inclusive collection of people from all over the world and representing all walks of life. What we will share in common are engagement with the ISIT Game, Awareness about the ultimate nature of Objective Reality, and our mission to participate in the transformation of our civilization to our the next phase of existence.

Based on these common understandings, the ISITAS Community will establish its own rules and regulations, protocols, incentive systems, and other parameters necessary for operating an orderly organization through the inherent process of consensus-building.

The fiber holding the organization in state are content, polls, and discussion. Members will explore content in the ISITAS Wisdombase and take polls based on that content. This qualifies them to enter the discussion about the content.

Through this type of engagement, members will eventually find their way to projects corresponding to their areas of interest. They learn the skills needed to participate in specific projects by consuming content, taking polls or tests, and doing exercises. Once they are trained, they transition through a standard onboarding process and begin performing pre-defined tasks and engaging with the team.

Engagement on teams can take on various forms, depending on the nature of the project. Some projects may involve people performing modular tasks individually, while another one might require real-time video conferencing. As the organization expands, some projects that had been strictly digital in nature will begin to materialize in space-time as teams identify spaces to work together IRL.

In fact, eventually people will begin to form actual physical communities where people who met on the ISITAS platform converge on a location and form a new community — not based on proximity to a job, but on shared values and interests.

This collection of communities, bound together by our common beliefs and supported by our technology platform based on polling and consensus-building, will be able to operate within the legacy system, while at the same time functioning as a completely independent, substantial, and highly agile Network State.
