Polls will be a key part of the website. The first type of polls are designed to engage users and assess whether they are inclined to be members of the community. The questions will follow each page of the Introduction Narrative (see above) and will basically assess whether the visitor agrees or resonates with the subject matter of that page. We’ll use the responses to questions to generate lists of members that can be targeted for email.

We will also include polls in the other sections of the websites. There will be a few basic types of polls:

ISIT Polls – Here we show a word or an image and ask whether this object is more associated with IS or IT.
ISIT Scale Polls – Similar to the ISIT polls except that they are asked to rank the item on a scale ranging from Very ISish, Somewhat ISish, Balanced, Somewhat ITistic, Very ITistic.

These poll types will be the precursor to the ISITometer, and will basically lay the groundwork for that project.

ISIT Analysis

Members enter their social profiles into the ISITometer, which proceeds to harvest all the content they generate, apply ISIT scores to all of the words, sentences, images, videos, etc. and gives the person a final ISIT score based on the aggregate. It also generates a word cloud of abstract concepts and words that describe the member with great accuracy.

People earn credits that are redeemable for various services of the ISIT Belief System through the Church of ISITism. Those services include analysis of their own online persona, including human analysis.

There are three basic levels at which people can use the ISITometer and the community around it to help them solve their problems. (Actually, it is really more of a scale, but for the sake of simplicity, we’ll group them into three levels).
