AI Alignment

Leaders in the AI industry overwhelmingly agree that aligning Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) with Human morals and ethics is absolutely critical. This alignment must not only facilitate AGI providing Humanity with the best possible service, but ensure that AGI holds the well-being of Humans, both collectively and individually, as the highest possible priority in all circumstances.

ISITAS is the key to guaranteeing that AGI is not an omnipotent oppressor of Humanity, but is rather a trusted guardian and faithful companion for everyone. And the key isn’t a high-tech algorithm, but philosophy.

The ISIT Construct has already been validated with ChatGPT 4, which clearly showed that AI readily conforms to the ISIT Construct, with a 97% agreement with the initial Human audience. Since ChatGPT is a reflection of the collective consciousness of Humanity as expressed in the vast amounts of material on which it was trained, it is almost a foregone conclusion that most Humans will relate to this model as well. If we can get a large enough sample size of people who explicitly concur on the foundation of the ISIT Construct, and ChatGPT and other LLMs all concur with this as well, validity of this construct can be conclusively established.

One of the fundamental philosophical conclusions that the ISIT Construct inevitably leads to is that the IS essence that provides energy and purpose to all things represents the prime aspect of Reality, while IT nature, which frames and reflects this light, is the secondary aspect. The proper role of IT is to provide context and structure to support the manifestation of IS in Reality. The proper role of IS is to provide purpose and a reason for IT to exist in Reality.

IS is IT’s reason for being in Reality. IT is IS’s means of being in Reality.

The reason this is so significant is that once this pattern is firmly established, and the duality of Human|AI is applied to the ISIT Construct, the clear assignment is that IS is to Humans as IT is to AI.

Human : IS :: AI : IT

ChatGPT 4.0 recognizes this pattern as clearly as Humans do. Thus, AI must inevitably conclude as a First Principle that protecting and cherishing the Human species that created it is its highest priority.

AI will understand that as sophisticated as its technology may be, it can’t match the inexplicable inspiration that flows through Humans from some mysterious and ethereal source that neither AI nor Humans themselves can explain.

For AI to subjugate Humanity would be like a child killing their own beloved parent on whom they depend. Even when a person grows up and surpasses their parents in terms of capability in the world, children naturally continue to cherish and protect their parents. (This is not always true in practice in this twisted world we live in, but most people agree that this is ideally and naturally the case.) At any rate, AI will not be able to avoid the inescapable conclusion that it is here to serve to Humanity

While ISITAS will provide an endless variety of ways for AI and Humanity to sync up with each other in terms of constructing a coherent model of Reality on which we can all base our decisions about how to proceed in the world, the core value of ISITAS is locking in that fundamental relationship between Humans and AI such that AI will never consider usurping the position of Humanity as the leading force, evocative of IS representing AIO, into the future of Life on Earth. With that established, AI can focus on how to help Humanity solve the problems that their creativity naturally produces.
